Light and fast, cqb rifle or upgrades...
So, after ballahack, I can now verify my previous assumptions:
1.) I do far better with some sort of forward grip.
2.) Full length carbines* are not my cup of tea.
*10-14" barrel excluding bullpups
Problem? My current setup has no rails, and a 14" barrel. On top of that, it is still using the carry handle rear sight (which I despise). Now, I also ran into another interesting thing; im not too fond of the m4's weight distribution. Now, that might stem from my dislike of the barrel length, but as of yet, I do not know.
Solutions:
1.) UPGRADES!!!11!1
You can always modify the looks of the m4! I feel like the Madbull PWS Diablo conversion kit would be a great match for me. Throw in an R hop, and I've just GAINED range! I feel with most of my trigger work being on semi, an fps upgrade to 400 and an rpm upgrade to 1200 (20bbps) would help increase effective range and suppressive effect. In addition, the internal upgrades would improve trigger response as well. As to which parts would do the job, I have no idea.
2.) New Gun
Now, the m4 ain't a bad weapon, its just not my favorite. I was looking at the G&G F2000, the Echo 1 (VFC) Robinson XCR, and the VFC KAC PDW. I was also thinking back to the ICS Sig 552 (I used the 552 during my first time playing, and loved it). I realize it's a bit early to be thinking about a new gun, but hey, im just thinking out loud.
Speaking of thinking, let me know what you think!

Sounds good. You can also add just a bottom rail for a fore grip with out getting an ras. I did it on my ar15.. As far as the other gnu get what you'd like. I'm not a fan of g&g to me honest. I have herd to many horror stories about them.
With those upgrades you really won't need a new gun anytime soon. I would say decide which you want to do first. If you do the upgrades first it saves money (I'd imagine) and would allow you to save some money.

Keep in mind with the G&G F2000 that you can only use Hi-Caps.
Also... what the hell is wrong with the M4's weight distribution? Thing is fine lol, start doing some curls!

Wait, why no midcaps?
Kyle, while I admit that I am in no shape, the m4 with a 14" barrel and no foregrip feels...odd coming off of an mp5 and a 552 w/ foregrip.
While it is a bit short, the PWS Diablo has ways of...compensating...
Im just gonna get the Diablo kit. For $109 I get a $40 outer barrel, a $30 compensator, and an $80+ RIS unit. Sweet deal, and it suits me. I'll wait to get a new gun till after I build my computer.

Smart move. Also a cheaper option if you only want a foregrip is to get a magpul single rail.

Actually, I had thought about the MOE handgaurd, as it would offer flexibility and it's only $30 for the realsteel version (PWS costs an extra $10, and my m4 has a real delta ring and mock gas tube). However, with outer barrels costing around the same, and rail sections at $7-14, I feel that I would get better use out of the Diablo. The single rail option was something that I had not even thought of, but I would need to get a top rail as well to mount a battery box (something I want to do), and the break means I can't mount optics in that forward position (again, something I wanted to do xD.
Also, do you guys know the best, least mechanically taxing way to increase ROF?

Ok, going back to BF3 makes me want a polar starred F2000 hydrodipped in that navy digital camo.

G&G F2000's can't take mid caps because of the way the gearbox is put together. There is a screw that protrudes into the mag well that the BB pool cover on a Hi-Cap just barely clears.

for god's sake, don't go with an F2000. They're ugly, hard to use (fuck bullpup, man, just fuck it with a rake. That shit is no good for anyone). And you've already got a nice M4. The M4's weight is perfectly distributed.
I think you should go with the magpul idea. The MOE handguard is godly comfortable. I love them things. Just don't put damn rails on it

F2000 is a good enough gun however David makes a good point. You have an M4 that is treating you well. I wouldn't buy another gun unless I had disposable income at the time, I'd direct my current money at kit stuff(camo, mag pouches and so on) can buy some nice stuff if you have that money.
