Member Definitions/Ranks/Status...new comers should read this.
Status definitions for applicants, recruits, members, and senior members:
So there has been some grey area on what defines each of the status from applicant to senior member lately (or least coming to me). I am hoping this post will help define each status and elaborate further on what it takes to become each status.
Applicant: A member or a Senior member has a friend, meets a player at a field, or just anyone that has interest in joining Ricochet. Applicants have: No obligation to the team, No set position on the team, and are not accepted into the ranks of the team as a member.
While an applicant has no obligations it is HIGHLY recommend that you show interest in the team otherwise you will be removed of applicant status and forced to start the process over again with a less than stellar rep (if you choose too).
Way’s you can show interest in the team is by:
1.Liking and showing activity on our forums of social media: This is subscribing to our youtube channel, liking our videos, using our forum, liking our public facebook page, and posting on the facebook page. These are very simple things that will get you noticed, show dedication/team support, and all of these combined will take 15 minutes of your time.
2. Attending a game.
Recruit: A Recruit is someone that has been accepted into our ranks but has no defined spot on a fire team yet. For those that want the “member” status this is a necessary step.
In order to have the recruit status you must have 1-2 games with the team and you must have the following to show team support/commitment:
1. A Like on our public facebook page
2. An account created on the forum with activity on the forum
3. Subscribed to the youtube channel
4. Multicam has been obtained.
5. You must have a plate carrier, tactical vest, chest rig, or some sort of way to carry your mag’s during a game that is not a back pack or pant pockets.
6. You must have a primary aeg or gbbr.
Member: A member is someone that has completed all the all of the 6 tasks above and has proven their worth in combat with a specific class of their choice. They have continuity with team members, demonstrate proper sportsmanship, and have their own spot on a fire team. A Member takes their dedication to the next level. This dedication can be increased activity on social media, helping find new ideas on how to better the team, and by attending games frequently.
As part of the tradition a Member will receive his/her patches by two senior members. One is Subdued and the other is a ceremonial/dress patch. Members can be viewed as your NCO. Their voice does carry wait and they often relay ideas of various types to senior members.
Senior Member: A Senior member is someone that has been on the team for at least 1 and half years (no less). During this time they have obtained the highest level of tactical awareness and skill on the field, proven the ability to lead, and shows exceptional sportsmanship. Senior members not only get along with everyone but they are seen as a level of authority and respect. They are the face of the team and ultimately have the final say when it comes to changes in the team. Senior members lead by example on the forums, social media, and the field. There level of commitment goes beyond liking, subscribing, attending games, and posting on the various forums of media….they show insight on how to better the team. Not everyone becomes a senior member.
